Brothers and Sisters, we are starting the full campaign push on Monday, May 21st. We need your commitment to cover your respective response areas with the feet on the street flyer drop.  Oregon State Fire Fighters President Kelly Bach and I visited several stations today reminding our members of the importance of everyones involvement in this campaign.  We cannot change anything unless we get the message to the community and the community contacts the council. As you know we are working under the time constraint of May 29th for the budget discussion/decision at council.  We have to get the flyers out next week.  This is the one critical thing we must accomplish next week! I know we are all busy, but we ALL must make this a top priority!

What I need from you:

1. One shift at each station to take charge of getting everyone/everything organized. Let me know who the contact/organizing member is.
   1. Divide your first-in area into three zones and assign one zone to each shift.  I don't care how or when you do it as long as it gets done by Friday, May 25th.
   2. Flyers will be delivered to each station by next Monday.
2. ALL members send an e-mail or letter in opposition to the closures to council and the Mayor either as a city employee or a citizen of Salem (not on city computer).  Enlist your spouse, family and friends to do the same.
