Asking for your support!
Posted
On: Sep 11, 2008 (22:21:17)
Brothers and Sisters,
It is my honor and privilege to be nominated to the position of President of Local 314. If selected for this position, I promise to dedicate the time and effort needed to accomplish the goals set by the membership as we forge on to these uncertain times. There are many issues confronting us and I feel with the leadership of our e-board we will meet these objectives together. I ask for your support and participation as we move forward, continuing to focus on wages, working conditions and benefits for our members and families. We are at a pivotal time in the growth and expansion of our department which will require constant and vigilant attention to the tasks at hand. I will strive to develop positive working relationships with our members, fire management, city council, city managers and the community. I trust that together, we can make a difference. I ask for your support in this endeavor.
My intent is to make it around to all of the stations. However, I am on vacation out of town until September 30th, so if you have questions or concerns or if you want to express your support, please feel free to call or e-mail me and I will get back to you at my earliest convenience.
In Unionism,
Robin Chitwood
Vice President Salem Firefighters L-314
