WEST SALEM PHONE BANK
Jan 16, 2012

Brothers and Sisters, tomorrow is the phone bank event.  It is critical that we have your assistance with this, please take a minute and notify Chuck that you will be attending.  This is a grass roots effort requiring your involvement!  A few of us can only accomplish so much; all of us working together can resolve this!

Please recruit your neighbors, friends and family living in Salem to attend their neighborhood meetings and the scheduled budget meetings.  Below is a link showing neighborhood associations and the information on the community budget meetings, please share this with your contacts!  Our basic message is simple “Any reduction in fire services is not necessary, the fire department is under budget for this year”.  More detailed information will be provided tomorrow.  Again, WE NEED YOUR HELP engaging your neighbors, friends and family to carry this message to the policy makers.

On Monday, January 16th, 2012 (B shift) we will be holding a phone bank calling party at our Union Hall, members and spouses are encouraged to attend.  It is imperative that we have as many people as possible RSVP to confirm with Chuck Ettel that you will be attending.

There is a short script to read and phone numbers to relay so that a person can either get more involved or get more information on the station closure.  We will be phoning other union members so the conversation should be a pleasant one or at the very least an understanding one.  The Phone Bank Party will be 1730-2030, pizza and drinks will be provided.

Please call Senior Trustee Ettel to confirm YOU will be there at 503-871-5158 or email him at chucke314@gmail.com to confirm.  The more people who attend will make less time spent by everyone.  Without your assistance we cannot be successful in keeping our station open!!  Thank you ahead of time for your assistance.
